Dear IDEA School Families,
We want to remind all of you that our first ever IDEA School Community Gathering (the first of many!) will be this Friday, July 18th, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Tucson Museum of Art (MAP) Education Building (located just east of the main museum building).
Please bring your family and meet our staff, other IDEA School families, and members of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board. Kindly RSVP to David with how many in your family will be attending.
We are so excited to finally have the opportunity to show you the site of our soon-to-open school!
By August 11th, the first day of school, we will have transformed our primary classroom space into a cozy, home-like, book-filled, experience-rich environment; and our second classroom into the IDEA School Studio, where children will be engaged in art, construction, music experimentation and more. Also, you will get a chance to see the beautiful interior courtyard which will be a space for exploration, play, and community-building, and likely where we will share many of our Food Co-op meals together.
The IDEA School Community Gathering is being hosted by our wonderful Board of Directors. Board member Mark Wasko, president of BSH Builders, will be grilling marinated chicken and veggies, and we’ll also have plenty of sides, so come hungry!
It has been wonderfully fun being a part of this journey. We are so grateful for all of your support and cannot wait to start the school year! Please don’t hesitate to call or email David or Jaime if you have any questions or concerns.
See you soon!
Jaime, David, Shana, Quiahuitl, and Erin
